The work of the Trust continues and we need your help to fund our activities, including:
To acquire a redundant church in Bradford. Estimated costs to complete the purchase, pay attendant acquisition and transaction costs, and turning it into an Orthodox church are substantial. Funds needed: 225,000 Pounds. We also require help pay for the living expenses of an Orthodox priest and his family to serve in Bradford. Funds needed: 25,000 Pounds, per year. Installing a beautiful mosaic icon in the east apse (above the altar) of the Orthodox church in Poole, completing its interior as a Byzantine architectural show-piece in this formerly Anglican church which was closed as “redundant.” Funds needed: 70,000 Pounds.
Help pay for the living expenses of the Orthodox priest who is currently serving part-time and having to work a secular teaching job to make ends meet. This is an extremely expensive place to live, but is the center of an important conurbation of 1 million people. Funds needed: 25,000 Pounds.
